Runway Show: When We Party
"When We Party" was the name of the event held on the 16th of November 2019 at 10 Scotts, The Grand Hyatt Singapore. It was organized by DGA Threads, The ShoeCo. and An Order of Bling. The three Singapore-based companies share the same vision, ethos, and creativity. Over 120 people turned up to enjoy the evening and the variety of wearable of each company. During the event, nine talented models wore 3 different collections of creations designed and manufactured in Singapore by DGA Threads; Diamanté, Azzurro and a glance of the soon to be launched, Blanc et Noir line.
The models wore beautiful footwear by The ShoeCo. eclectically paired with our garments. The excitement during the event was exponential from the moment the models arrived, started to get ready with the help of the hair and make-up stylists to the time when they were briefed on the walk and started rehearsal.
The momentum continued as the models started to dress, the final touch-ups were made to when the music changed, signaling the commencement of the runway show and the go-ahead was finally given. We were all thrilled when the first model confidently stepped out followed by the rest. They were totally charged up, determined to showcase elegantly what they were wearing.
The excitement started to spread slowly and magically to the audience. We noticed smiles on many faces of the guests as they progressively became involved in the show. Their “phones up” recording the movements, the creations, the colors, the atmosphere and the walking of the models at the pace of the music.
