An interesting rug with the so-called 'tigma' pattern mimicking the woolen tie-dyed textiles of similar patterning and color. Such textiles are fashioned into long runners by cutting dyed woolen cloth and sewing it with cushioning inside. This rug was woven to emulate these dyed woolen textiles. Published analogy, Kuloy, Plate 92; Cole, Hali #49, 18, Plate 3.
