This elegant shift dress has been fashioned with the most refined Japanese vintage silk textile on which is depicted an amazing and detailed peacock design which symbolizes the values of kindness, goodness, love and care. There are other important cultural symbols in the overall depiction such as the plum blossoms, the pine tree, etc. these have been hand-painted in raised gold colour, giving a two-dimensional effect.

The pine tree is reminiscent of longevity, good fortune and a bright future. A beautiful work of art for a unique dress with slender spaghetti straps, back zipper closure and a broad gathered bottom band in a light and soft summer kimono silk.
